George is a musician with over five years of teaching experience, specialising in guitar, bass and ukulele. George fell in love with music after hearing Bob Dylan’s ‘Hurricane’ at the age of eight, being struck by the rawness and passion of Dylan’s voice and guitar playing. At age 11, he connected with the blues, learning licks from the greats like B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 2014, George placed 3rd in NSW for HSC Music.
He began teaching both children and adults in 2016, and in 2017, attained his Bachelor of Music from JMC Academy. George has played in numerous bands in Sydney and London, with a lot of experience playing live and recording. He also has over two years experience in teaching children with special educational needs. George’s lessons will be tailored to the learning style and ability level of the student, and will encompass learning songs, music theory, sight reading and songwriting, depending on the students desires.
