Guitar Lessons Ryde

Nick is an accomplished guitarist currently teaching private guitar lessons alongside his career as a secondary music teacher in a distinguished selective school in Sydney. He teaches music of all styles on acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, with particular expertise in classical guitar.

Through his studies of a Bachelor of Music (performance) in classical guitar and Masters of Teaching from The Sydney Conservatorium of Music/University of Sydney, Nick has developed an extensive understanding of guitar techniques, music theory, and modern music teaching pedagogy that can be catered to students interested in all styles of music.

He has extensive knowledge of all high school Music syllabuses used in NSW and is able to offer tuition for HSC students in Music 1, 2, and extension, including aural/musicology/composition tuition for non-guitarists.

Whilst at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Nick studied under esteemed GFA winner Dr Vladimir Gorbach, and the Australian composer and expert in classical guitar technique Phillip Houghton.

Nick teaches in a fantastically equipped modern studio using a wide range of resources to target identified student interests and needs. The studio is situated directly opposite Meadowbank station, in the perfect location to service the Ryde area and along the T9 Northern Line. The studio environment is great for after school lessons, with a comfortable waiting area and facilities, and a guitar store in house.

All students are welcome! Nick teaches anyone from beginners to advanced students, including adult students and early primary school aged children, with enjoyment of music at the centre of his teaching.

Lessons start at $45 for half an hour, hour lessons are also available. I teach all styles of guitar, bass guitar, theory, HSC Music 1 and Music 2 content, and harmonic analysis.
