Earlwood Guitar Lessons. Dave graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2003 with a Bmus.studies(Musicology) degree, and has been teaching since 1998. His teaching philosophy is centred around helping the student achieve their own goals rather than forcing them to adhere to some external system. He also feels it is extremely important to have strong foundations in good technique, theoretical understanding and aural perception. He particularly enjoys guiding people towards greater facility in composition and improvisation in a wide range of styles. For guitar He teaches flatpicking, fingerstyle and extended techniques on both acoustic and electric. He also teaches five-string banjo in the three-finger/bluegrass style, exploring all facets including advanced techniques.

I've been looking for a guitar tutor for some time now and have tried a few over the last several years but they hasn't worked out due to wanting me to commit to dates/times which is hard with my schedule. I came across this site on a google search and they put me in touch with a tutor close to me very quickly. I've now had my first lesson and will be going as regularly as I can.
