Teaching Terms and Conditions

We are looking for Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Singing and Online teachers to add to the database to help serve the growing demand for lessons in the Sydney area. We are interested to have teachers from other areas of Australia also. We are a referral service.

We will place your details on our web site free of charge and when students wish to book lessons with you we will check your availability and ask you to contact the student to book a lesson etc. You are under no obligation to take on the new student. If you decide teach the student then you are required to pay the referral fee of $60 for the first paid lesson only and you keep everything after that. If the student decides not to continue after the first lesson then only half the referral fee is to be paid.

The student pays you directly and you then pay us within 48 hours of the completion of the first lesson (unless a gift voucher is purchased in which case you will be paid after each lesson is completed). We will contact the students to see how the first lesson went.

Any Teacher that offers to teach children is required to have an active Working With Children Check (WWCC)

After you create your profile it will be submitted for approval and then you will notified shortly after when it has gone live.

Please Note : We also offer gift certificates of lessons. A minimum of 2 one hour lessons is required. Sydney guitar lessons will pay the teacher after each lesson has been completed (minus the referral fee).

One word, AMAZING! I have been searching for a suitable guitar teacher around Sydney area for so long but never had I ever found a guitar teacher as knowledgeable, approachable and attentive like Grant. I love this place because they can suggest you the best teacher that suits your need (e.g genre of songs). In my case, I would love to have a guitar teacher that can teach me classical songs and fix my technique. That's when I was introduced to Grant who is teaching at AIM. I love how this place offer qualified and excellent teachers as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with the customer service from the admin team and very happy and excited with my first lesson with Grant. I would recommend this place for everyone. All you need is give them a call or email and they will give you a very fast response! Nice.

I've been looking for a guitar tutor for some time now and have tried a few over the last several years but they hasn't worked out due to wanting me to commit to dates/times which is hard with my schedule. I came across this site on a google search and they put me in touch with a tutor close to me very quickly. I've now had my first lesson and will be going as regularly as I can. 1 am a complete beginner, learning to play the Tenor Ukulele. I searched the internet for a teacher and came across Sydney Guitar Lessons, and thank goodness I did. They have many teachers who teach many instruments and also singing. I sent an email to them to let them know that I am a complete beginner. Angus is amazing and has helped me through many questions that I have raised including finding a teacher for me. I am passed retirement age and Angus has found me a perfect teacher just 15 minutes (Newtown) from where I live. David is a great Teacher and is very friendly and yet very professional. I have tried to teach myself for the last 6 months to no avail. I learned to play quite a lot from the very first lesson with David and I can't believe that I am actually playing HALLELUJAH by LEONARD COHEN. I will stay with David for a long time and maybe have 1 hour lessons instead of half hour. My son Robin who also wants to learn the Ukulele ( Baritone ) will begin lessons with David in a couple of weeks. We both look forward to having so much fun with our music. I would just like to mention again PLEASE get in touch with SYDNEY GUITAR LESSONS and Angus will give you all the help you need to find a good teacher. Tom Wood is an excellent guitar teacher. He is prompt (both in person before Covid lockdown and now online), professional, very personable and encouraging.
